Eric Garlic is a best-selling author with more than 50 children’s books. His stories are imaginative, funny, and fueled by positive values.
His early books, first written in Traditional Chinese, incorporated a cross-cultural perspective that introduced and connected children to the world. Since then, Eric has expanded to bilingual and English works, and has co-created or produced projects with artists and thought leaders, resulting in both books and board games.
Eric’s children’s book career began after his two daughters were born. The daily bedtime story was a magical moment for him and his kids, and when they ran out of new books at home, Eric started making up stories on the fly. He soon realized how much his children loved these creative and funny tales. After all, it was the time spent together, the connection, and the laughter that transcended any story.
His best-selling series include Brownc, Help! Mythic Animals, and Family Secrets. Brownc Is Stuck was selected by Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture as Books from Taiwan, while Brownc Roll Call was recognized as one of Taiwan’s Top 100 Children’s Books. Eric was also invited as the opening keynote speaker at the Asia Children’s Books Forum in Seoul, Korea.
Eric, his wife, and their two kids now live in Seattle, Washington, where he continues to write for his children and for kids all over the world.
